Wednesday adventures in Blaye

This morning my mom made French toast (pain perdu) before we headed off in the car with Nancy to visit Blaye. Our destination was the citadel and we learned. lot on our guided tour of the grounds and underground passageways. Hannah’s favorite part was petting the goats that graze the old moat. It was drizzling this morning for a bit, but heated up by lunch. 

We walked around Bourg looking in some shops before we went to the pool again in the afternoon. It was nice to cool off from the heat.
