Diner in Dinard

whew!  so much catching up to do

We had a wonderful time in Dinard staying with our friends Pierette and Pascal who treated us to delicious meals and fun daytime adventures. We spent lots of time swimming in the ocean and exploring the amazing tides. The beaches would be totally exposed and boats lying on the sand and just 30 minutes later the water would have fully come in and the boats would be floating again. crazy!

Hannah had fun learning how to dig for cockles, “fish” for couteaux using salt, and catching baby shrimp in tide pool algea. She enjoyed digging in the sand making giant holes, and on one beach creating her own “hot tub” as the water would seep up into the hole she dug.

I loved the “pool” in Dinard right in the ocean that would fill with water during high tide and be open to swimming during the low tide.

I had so much fun reconnecting with Pascal, Pierette’s brothet whom I met on a visit to Dinard over 15 years ago!  What a character!

Mom and I loved the market in Dinard, but Hannah’s favorite was an old-fashioned bike/horse thing.
