train to Strasbourg

Today’s adventure was Hannah’s first TGV ride. We clocked in at about 320 kph. It was a little hectic of a departure when I found out that the train configuration had changed and our seats were no longer reserved for us. After a 5 minute free for all where people were pushing and snagging seats, H and I finally found seats across from eachother for the trip.  My host-mom Rosette Biellmann is picking us up at the train station. I havent seen her for probably 16 years, but we’ve kept in touch ever since I lived with her in 1996.  I’m looking forward to introducing Hannah to my host sisters and their children.
