Strasbourg fun continues
We spent last night at Anne’s house and Hannah had a sleepover with Sybille (14) and Cyriaque (10). She had a fun time playing charades with them at the dinner table and giggled a bunch as they played with the bunny “Noisette” and got ready for bed.

Before we went to Anne’s, Rosette took us to her house for a quick snack and I got to show Hannah around the house I used to call home. Hannah prefered playing in the garden and getting sprayed by the neighbor’s watering hose. We drove by the old Syracuse center where I had my classes and went to the Orangerie. Hannah liked seeing the storks, wallabys, and other animals. We also stopped at the playground where she met a French boy who wanted to play with her. I stayed closeby to translate for them, but my skills were not really required - just my arms to push them on the swings.
Anne picked us up to go to Cyriaque’s violin concert. Hannah was very patient and attentive during the hour long concert. Then we went back to Anne’s for dinner and the sleepover. Hannah surprised me at dinner by wating carpaccio - lots and lots of carpaccio! She ate like she hadn't eaten for days! She gave the kids their gifts of candy and then brought out some pop rocks for all to try. Lots of laughs at the table.
Hannah woke up early this morning and said goodbye to Cyriaque, who went off on a scouting overnight. Once Sybille was up, the two girls played with legos and the bunny. We took a ride over to their plot in the community garden and collected some food to eat - fresh onions, cucumber, and lettuce. We also enjoyed picking and eating strawberries, raspberries, Cassis, and another berry I can’t quite remember the name of. We had a delicious salad lunch back at the house and Anne made jam from the cassis that we had just picked.
Now the girls are playing in Sybille’s room and I get a chance to update the blog.
